Ford Field Park in Downtown Northville is a can’t miss this summer!
Located just seconds away from Northvilles Downtown district, is one of the best wooden playgrounds around! Partially fenced in you can keep an eye on your kiddos while sitting under the trees up front. There is a quaint tot lot area for even the smallest visitors with a slide, small town and climbing area. In the big kid area you can finds lots of hiding areas, (perfect for a game of hide and seek) slides, monkey bars, mounted in ground tires and balance beams! Pack a lunch and enjoy many of the picnic tables located just outside the fence. Or bring your bikes and scooters to enjoy the 1/4 mile paved track that runs partially besides the stream.
After a while of playing head over the bridge to the Mill Race Village. This historical village has plenty of shade and relaxing views of the water. Plus, lots of historical monuments to Northville all located in one spot. Plan ahead and see if they have a open village day where you can tour the historical buildings here. Be sure to walk past the last house to see the dam and lots of ducks!
Once your done, walk into the downtown area for a sweet treat at our favorite ice cream spot in Northville, Browndog Barlor.
