Monroe – Octobernight

October 4 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Date: 04 October, 2024 06:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Location: River Raisin Territorial Park, 3815 N. Custer Rd., Monroe, MI

The Monroe County Museum System invites all to celebrate Halloween with us at River Raisin Territorial Park, 3815 N. Custer Rd., Monroe, MI 48162.

The spirits and spectres that haunt the River Raisin are preparing to make their annual return. Their yearly gathering at the 1817 farmstead will be signaled when the moon hides the sun this October, so beware!

On October 13 and 14, River Raisin “Terror-torial” Park will transform into an eerie world for the curious to explore. See where our modern-day Halloween celebrations began by experiencing the spine-tingling tales and legends that have lurked around Michigan’s dark corners for centuries. Celebrate the season with historic Halloween traditions, light seasonal refreshments, and live music, but keep a look-out for the ethereal beings that thrive in the shadows, who await the chance to meet you.

Scary stories of old will come to life at the 1817 farm with historical vignettes throughout the site. Visitors can expect surprises and chilling scenes everywhere, but may take refuge in our scare-free barn while enjoying fall flavors and sounds. Octobernight may not be suitable for very young children. Remember to dress for the weather, and keep a lookout for things that go “bump in the night.”

Tickets are available online only; no tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are $13.00 for ages 13 and up, and children 12 and under are free. To purchase tickets, please visit octobernight.org, and have your email confirmation with you when you arrive. A limited number of tickets are available, so we encourage you to purchase early!
